A specific defect report can be used to thoroughly inspect a particular or several potential defects within a property and advise on how they can be resolved. The survey will be reported to the same depth as a Level 3 Survey would, but only for the specific problem rather than the whole property.

Instructions for this type of report usually come from property owners who have concerns about an issue that has recently presented itself, those requiring a second opinion or people with lots of property experience who have recognised a defect but believe the rest of the property is structurally sound. Examples of this could include:

• Dampness

• Cracks

• Bowing Walls

• Subsidence

• Roof or Chimney defects

• Brickwork defects

• Adequacy of building work

• Determining the suitability of property alterations etc.  

Our report will include a detailed description of findings from the inspection, as well a diagnosis of the defect and recommendations to remedy the problem. It will also include high resolution photographs, either within the report or provided via a downloadable link.
