The business employers and employees share expectations and values which are outlined in our policies. We aim to maintain a balance between all aspects of our policies, the company, employees and clients and are mindful of the different scenarios that can arise in each given project. We believe that all are part of the team including employees, suppliers and clients and value opinions and input from all involved.

We take pride that we make our business and service provision accessible for those with protected characteristics which covers age, disability, gender reassignment, marriage and civil partnership, pregnancy and maternity, race, religion or belief, sex and sexual orientation. We have achieved RICS Inclusive Employer accreditation and are active in making such adjustments. We also engage with the profession in this regard, particularly to improve accessibility of employment.

We are required to comply with applicable laws, rules and regulations. The Company will always provide equal opportunities and does not tolerate any discrimination or harassment of any kind.

Credibility and integrity are vital to us and in the unfortunate event of a complaint, all members of the team are aware, that no matter how small, it must be taken seriously and of procedures that must be taken to resolve the matter. If a complaint is made, Hannent Chartered Surveyors can provide details of its complaint procedures.

The company and all its employees are expected to be honest and open at all times. It is important that our staff do not put off difficult conversations or tasks. We believe all staff should be trustworthy and maintain integrity especially as we hold confidential information and manage large projects.

Everyone at Hannent Chartered Surveyors is required to respect one another, clients and suppliers. We strongly believe in learning from others and their experience. As a company we have always adopted an ‘open door policy’ allowing all to voice their ideas, opinions, as well as concerns.

Working in property, our clients are very invested in each project, however small, and therefore we are often put in sensitive situations and each member of our team holds compassion and objectivity. Each individual holds responsibility and pride for their work which ensures as a company and member of the team we are equally invested in all of our projects.

Before committing to any project or suppliers, we make informed decisions about who we work with to ensure all aspects run smoothly, efficiently and are ethical.  This helps us to ensure that all procurement is ethical and allows us to be upfront about all our costs.  We work with companies who are transparent about their fees, reflecting how we are as company.
