Principal Designer (PD) Services
By now, everyone should be familiar with The Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2015, as failure to comply with the Regulations may result in criminal liability, for which the maximum penalty is an unlimited fine, two year’s imprisonment or both.
We at PSC, together with our sister company Hannent Chartered Surveyors, ensure that our Health and Safety team come from a construction background and are fully cognisant with up to date building processes and Health and Safety law, which enable us to drive your project forward.
We have experience from small niche projects up to complex commercial developments. Importantly, all our Principal Designers are registered members of the Association of Project Safety (APS).
We adopt a pragmatic approach to Construction Design & Management. We work closely with clients and designers to ensure a professional, reliable service that is fully compliant with current CDM regulations.
Health and Safety will be taken very seriously by the team and compliance with the Health and Safety Executive (HSE) is paramount to a successful and safe delivery of your project.
We offer regular audits to our clients of their contractors performance regarding method statements and H&S documentation retained on site together with safe working systems, ensuring total comfort to the client.
Contractors documentation
On some contracts, particularly the smaller domestic jobs, the contractor hasn’t got the time or staff to fulfil their duties as PC, therefore, we have set up an assist facility, whereby we can offer the contractor H&S documentation to comply with the Regulations, such as:
Contractors Construction Phase Plan.
Operating procedures.
Company policy documents (we can offer a full suite of specific documents).
Risk assessments.
Site induction.
Site set up.
These can be supplied with the Contractors Company logo.
